Privacy policy

Last updated 2 July 2026.

CopyGlyph is built to be private by default. The short version: we do not collect your data, because the site does not need it.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. CopyGlyph is a static site. When you search or copy a symbol, that happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to us. There are no accounts and no forms that store personal data.

Clipboard

Copying a glyph uses your browser's clipboard API. The character is written to your clipboard on your device. We never read your clipboard and we never see what you copy.

Local storage

We store one small preference in your browser: your light or dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is not shared.

Analytics and cookies

The site ships with no advertising cookies. If privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics are added later to understand which pages are useful, they will not track individuals, and this page will be updated to say so.

Hosting

Like most websites, our host records standard server logs such as IP address and user agent for security and reliability. These are not used to build a profile of you.
