Privacy policy

CopyGlyph is built to keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what we collect today, and how advertising, cookies and consent work on the site.

What we collect

CopyGlyph is a static site. When you search or copy a symbol, that happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to us. There are no accounts. The only personal data we handle is what you choose to send us through the contact form, which we use solely to reply to you.

Clipboard

Copying a glyph uses your browser's clipboard API. The character is written to your clipboard on your device. We never read your clipboard and we never see what you copy.

Local storage

We store one small preference in your browser: your light or dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is not shared.

Advertising and cookies

CopyGlyph may show advertising from third-party partners, such as Google AdSense or Ezoic, to help pay for running the site. When ads are shown, those partners can set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to serve ads and measure their performance, and some may use that information to personalise the ads you see. If you are visiting from the EEA or UK, you will be asked to make a consent choice before any personalised ads are set, and you can change that choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, though some site features may work less well without them.

Analytics

The site may use an analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic, such as how many people visit and which pages are useful. Depending on the tool in use, this can involve cookies or a similar identifier in your browser. Analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is not used to identify you personally.

Hosting

Like most websites, our host records standard server logs such as IP address and user agent for security and reliability. These are not used to build a profile of you.
