Terms of service

Last updated 8 July 2026.

These terms cover your use of CopyGlyph. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

CopyGlyph is a free reference for copy and paste symbols and special characters, plus a static JSON API and an embeddable symbol picker. Pages are static and run in your browser. There is no account, no login and no purchase required.

Acceptable use

Use the site, the API and the embed widget for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or scrape it in a way that degrades it for other visitors. The JSON API and embed widget are free to use in your own projects; please do not misrepresent the data as your own original research.

No warranty on the data

We check code points, HTML entities, alt codes and CSS escapes against public Unicode references, but CopyGlyphis provided "as is" without any guarantee that every value is error-free. For anything safety-critical or specification-critical, verify against the official Unicode Consortium data before relying on it.

Advertising

CopyGlyph may display advertising from third-party networks, such as Google AdSense or Ezoic, to help support the cost of running the site. Ads are served by those networks and are subject to their own terms. See the privacy policy for how ads and any related cookies work.

Third-party links

Some pages link out to other sites and tools, including other sites in our network. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CopyGlyph and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the API, the embed widget, or reliance on the data it presents.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes, for example when advertising or analytics are added. Changes take effect once posted here, with the date above updated.
